Pediatric Physical Therapy in Mt Kisco
Our northern Westchester clinic, on Kisco Avenue. Families from Mt Kisco, Bedford, Chappaqua, Katonah, Armonk and Pound Ridge come here when a child needs help with the physical side of growing up.
Find us on Kisco Avenue.
The Mt Kisco clinic is at 185 Kisco Avenue, Suite 201, which puts it inside a reasonable drive for most of northern Westchester. Our other clinic is well south of here in Port Chester, near the Connecticut line. If your week already takes you down that way, that one may be the easier stop.
There is no schedule here to scroll through. Call (914) 864-0855, describe what you have been seeing, and we will work out a time together. A free 15 minute consultation is a sensible first move if you are not yet sure therapy is what your child needs. Our Mommy & Me class also runs at this clinic.

How we work with your child in Mt Kisco.
Maybe the preschool teacher pulled you aside. Maybe you are waiting on an Early Intervention approval and the waiting is the worst part of it. Developmental Steps is a CPSE provider but not an Early Intervention provider, so what we offer Early Intervention families is either support alongside those services or a way to start now. Either way, it begins the same way.
Understand your child
We start by watching. A licensed physical therapist sees how your child gets up off the floor, climbs, runs and changes direction, then measures the pieces underneath: strength, range of motion, balance, endurance. We also ask what an ordinary Tuesday looks like, because the hard part is rarely the part that happens in a clinic.
Find what is actually limiting them
Clumsy is a description, not a diagnosis. Tired legs, a weak core, foot position, a coordination gap or low endurance all look identical from the sideline. We keep testing until we know which one it is, so the plan targets the thing holding your child back and not the thing that was easiest to notice.
Build the skill and keep it
Then we practice what your child actually needs to do: manage the stairs at school, ride a bike, keep up at recess, sit through a lesson without sliding out of the chair. You get coached on the home program rather than handed a sheet, so the gains hold after the last session here in Mt Kisco.
