Therapy Programs in Westchester County
Not every family who walks in here needs a full course of one on one therapy, and not every child who finishes one is ready to be on their own. Over the years we have built three programs to cover that ground, from a free tummy time class for brand new parents, to wellness groups for the child who has outgrown individual sessions but still wants somewhere to keep getting stronger. All three run out of our Port Chester and Mt Kisco clinics.
Three programs, built around where your child is right now.

Wellness
An individualized program built by a physical therapist around cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility. One on one, or in groups of two for children with similar goals.

Tummy Time Classes
A free class taught by Hayley on why tummy time matters, what it builds, and what to do when your baby hates every second of it.

Mommy & Me Classes
A class for you and your baby together at our Mt Kisco clinic, with a therapist in the room to answer the question you were going to look up later.

The point is that it keeps going after discharge.
Individual therapy ends. What a child learned there should not. Our wellness program exists because integrating knowledge with activity is what convinces a child that moving is worth doing, which is what makes physical activity stick as a permanent part of a life rather than a phase that ended when the sessions did. It is designed by a physical therapist around each child's own goals, using age appropriate activities and games aimed at cardiovascular fitness, general strengthening and flexibility. The classes work the other way around, at the very start: tummy time changes a baby's whole view of the world, builds the neck and upper back strength behind head control, and helps promote a round head shape, so we teach it free rather than wait for a family to need us later. Individual sessions run 45 minutes; group and class lengths vary by program. Call either clinic and we will tell you what is running.
