Developmental Steps is looking for a friendly and energetic Administrator/Medical Receptionist to join our amazing team!

My partner and I own and operate a very successful pediatric physical therapy clinic here in Mount Kisco and Port Chester. Over the past 21 years, we have been able to help 1000s of local children.

The key “metrics” we pride ourselves on are not volume, or number of new patients…. but our customer satisfaction and staff retention rates.

Most of our staff has been with us for 2+ years after hire.

Position Summary

Administrator with Receptionist duties, preferred insurance authorizations and electronic medical records experience, strong phone skills, calming demeanor, responsible for patient greeting, inquiries, scheduling, insurance, and billing assistance, fostering a flexible and collaborative team environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:

  • Administrator minimum 25 hrs/week with Administration and Receptionist responsibilities
  • Someone with experience with getting insurance authorizations and electronic medical records is preferred.
  • Phone Skills Are important and having a calming and confident voice with new patients and nervous parents are a must.
  • Other responsibilities include: greeting patients, answering questions, scheduling appointments, and helping the parents with insurance and billing needs.
  • Flexibility is a must, as we truly believe we are a team and should be open to helping out in a pinch.

  • Learn the ins and outs of how a physical therapy clinic works.
  • Assist the therapy team with bringing patients back for their sessions, keep the office clean and organized, register and schedule patients in our EMR, verify insurances and help with authorizations, and other daily tasks.
